Super Hero Squad: Create Your Own Comic

World Go Boom

Super Hero Squad is the branding that Marvel uses for their Super-Deformed kids line. The TV show deals with the Heroes led more or less by Iron Man vs. the Villains led by Doctor Doom. Though it has moved into repeats, Caleb loved it and there were even some side jokes for the parents. My personal favorite is when they're busting through the walls of a prison, Iron Man comments that "That's the fourth wall we've broken." Read the Full Article

Scott Pilgrim Avatar Creator

Me as a Scott Pilgrim Character

It may be something of an overstatement to say that I completely lack artistic ability but what little talent I do have is much more of the technical drawing variety. Because of that, I am always keeping my eye out for different tools to create characters with. The programming language of choice for creating character creators is Flash and there are a lot of them. 8-Bit Theater

Fighter and Black Mage

Talk about being a week late to the Party. 8-Bit Theater was a web comic that comically followed the plot line of the Final Fantasy 1 video game. I played the game back on the original NES but these days you can find it on the Nintendo DS.

As I was saying, late for the party. I still have this comic in my RSS reader but the very last comic was put up June 1st completing the story of the game in round about 9 years worth of comics. Read the Full Article

The Ten Doctors

The Ten Doctors

It has been over a year now since I posted the link for Rich Morris' Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Com. The Ten Doctor's is another project by this Brilliant man. And yes, I say this as the little boy who sat on the floor of my grandparent's TV room with my eyes glued to PBS when the 4th Doctor episode 'Robot' debuted in (at least my section of) the United States. Echofon for Firefox and Mac

Echofon Logo

I first heard of Echofon when the Twitterfox add-on I was using for Firefox suddenly became Echofon. I know there were some people who complained but the color shift never really bothered me. It probably helps that I've despised cyan as a color ever since my days doing TI Logo on my grammar school's computers. Read the Full Article

Joanna Barnum: Illustrator

Ms Marvel and Mary Marvel

I first came across Joanna years ago on one of the fan art sites. I'm going to say Elfwood. I don't go around making friends with artists on these sites but for whatever reason I noticed her fan art and noticed that she had a livejournal. As I had just started getting into that blogging tool, I added her and said hello. Read the Full Article

Big Planet Comics

Big Planet Comics

A few years ago I was in the midst of my first Mutants and Mastermind's game and started getting into comics. It started out with a few graphic novels as I worked my way through Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. I made the leap to stand alone comics when DC put out their 52 series. I was drawn in to the series by the promise of an entire year where I didn't have to know what was going on in any other comics and could just read that one comic. It of course didn't stay there. As the guys at the gaming table said, it was my gateway drug. Read the Full Article

Amy Czelusniak Studios

Amy Czelusniak Studios Logo

In the general course of cleaning through the vast sea of files I have on my iPod (see This Post), I found myself sorting through my Wedding pictures today. There are a lot of them but they are nothing compared to the giant pile of picture we have stuffed in our wedding box. It had me thinking about how the entire event was so masterfully captured by Amy Czelusniak and her assistant. Read the Full Article

Easy Duplicate Finder

Hi. My name is Bill and I like to make copies of files. (Hi Bill!)

Here is my confession. I have natural tendency towards being a pack rat. With my wife's help I've managed to fight these natural urges over the years, removing much of the clutter around the house. (Although my collection of Action figures is probably too big) The contents of my hard drive on the other hand is a different matter. At work, they were nice enough to let me purchase a Terabyte External Hard Drive for holding all of my work related files since I've collected more than my fair share of files over 9 years there. For personal use I picked up a classic ipod with 120 gig of storage. It gives me the advantage of a music and picture player along with the storage I need to collect all of my stuff.... and even then it wasn't quite enough. Read the Full Article

Right Left Center

Right Left Center

The majority of the links I post get four or five stars. The reason for this is that I usually only post stuff that I like. This one may get a little rambling as I try to describe why I don't like it. If nothing else, the quote will be worth a peak if only to shake your head at it. Read the Full Article
